Fried Chicken Briyani tonight.

Chicken Briyani
I’ve never really thought about it before, but our lives are chockablock with significant moments..
- our first step.
- our first word.
- our firs time riding a bike/roller-blading/
- our first seriously bad deed
- our first day at school
- our first exam
- our first childhood love
- the first time we held hands
- our first date
- the first kiss
- our first job
- our first pay check
- the time we accepted Christ
- our first communion.
and many more..
This weekend, Albert celebrated a significant moment, his first 40th birthday and to commemorate the momentous occasion, Albert went on a 40 hour fast.
At alpha@wefc, we don’t just come together to ask questions, we also have fun. Last weekend, we decided to help Albert celebrate his 40th in a different way as well. Unlike children’s parties where the birthday child gives their guest a good bag to take home, we decided to give Albert a goody bag to call his own.
Here’s the video of Albert with his goody-bag. Excuse the Singlish and dressing. Had to be appropriate to the occasion.

Sorry Albert, we won’t be taking orders for commemorative photos of the occasion etc:p
Curiously, as we go through some of these significant moments, there’s often a helping hand behind the scenes, helping us, celebrating with us or just simply being there for us. At other times, we often wished we had that guiding hand or the benefit of hindsight.
As Christians, we have access to that very guiding hand in everything we do in the form of the Holy Spirit and God’s Word, the Bible, but our human nature sometimes interferes or gets in the way of that guiding voice.
